Andy Gray is a former professional footballer and celebrated broadcaster, best known for his role in Everton’s golden era during the mid-1980s. A powerful striker with a fierce determination and big-match mentality, Gray helped lead the Toffees to one of the most successful periods in their history, securing the First Division title, FA Cup, and European Cup Winners’ Cup during a legendary 1984–85 campaign.

Gray’s career also included standout spells at Aston Villa, Wolves, and West Bromwich Albion, but it was at Goodison Park where he truly became a fan favourite – remembered for his no-nonsense style, vital goals, and infectious passion for the shirt.

After hanging up his boots, Andy transitioned seamlessly into football broadcasting, becoming a household name through his pioneering punditry on Sky Sports. His passionate, insightful commentary helped define football coverage for a generation and cemented his place as one of the sport’s most influential voices.
